Mr Alberto Campos was born the 22 of November in 1985 in the town of La Coipa, and lives with his wife and youngest son (7 years old). Mr. Campos was born into the world of agriculture. He named his farm EL MORERO because of the abundance of that type of tree (white mulberry) on his plot of land..

He’s been cultivating coffee since birth, since it was the principal economic activity of his family. He has 2 plots of land, one in the village of El Carrizo, at 1200 meters, growing the Caturra and Pache varieties, and the other plot in Barro Negro, at 1900 meters growing the varieties of pache and Typica, among others. Most of the coffee trees are around 15 years old. The harvest in Barro Negro runs from July to September. In October, he prunes his land and lays down compost and native bird guano to fertilize.
